Lemonheads

I think I just figured out why I love this candy so much. I have a box sitting on my coffee table as we speak. The little guy on the box is staring at me with a smile that says, "You know you want some more."

For me, it's the combination of bitter and sweet. That weird sensation your taste buds get when you eat them. First it's the sour/bitter taste and then the sweet kicks in.

Lemonheads are like life. Bitter and sweet. And I've had some bitter moments over the years. But I'm SO glad that the sweet is finally kicking in. It's makes life worth it after all. 

You might be in the sour place, the bitter place.

But just look at this smile

and know that the sweet is on its way.
